TAGLINE

Track waterflood pattern performance: monthly WOR, instantaneous and cumulative voidage replacement ratio from reservoir volumes, displacement efficiency against the pattern's hydrocarbon pore volume, and like-for-like benchmark targets.

WHO IT'S FOR

Reservoir and production engineers monitoring waterflood pattern performance and voidage balance.

WHAT IT DOES

Tracks monthly oil, water and injection, converts them to reservoir volumes with Bo and Bw, and calculates the voidage replacement ratio month by month and cumulatively, with a QC flag against your VRR target and tolerance. Computes HCPV from the pattern area, thickness, porosity and initial water saturation, displacement efficiency to date (ED = Np·Bo/HCPV) and the implied volumetric sweep (EV) against the maximum displacement efficiency set by Sor. Compares cumulative VRR, current ED and current WOR with your targets, each against its own measure. Pattern type is a descriptive label only; no calculation or benchmark depends on it. Assumes the reservoir is above the bubble point (no free-gas voidage).

KEY FORMULAS

VRR = injection voidage / production voidage (instantaneous and cumulative); production voidage = (Qo·Bo + Qw·Bw) × days; HCPV = 7758 × A × h × φ × (1 − Swi); ED = Np·Bo / HCPV; ED max = 1 − Sor/(1 − Swi); EV = ED / ED max; WOR = Qw/Qo

TECHNICAL SPECS
